What an incredible weekend! July 21st & 22nd 2001, was one of the
largest turnouts we've had for the Oldsmobile Club of Canada Nationals! Oldsmobiles, from all across North-America, joined in the fun and friendship
to make the 2001 Nationals a show to remember! We'd like to thank
all the participants and volunteers for their help, support, and most of
all, their participation! Here's an email from one of those
participants:
Hello Greg,
I would like to extend a very warm thank you too you and Chris for a very well organized and
professionally judged Oldsmobile Club of Canada, National event. My friends whom joined me for the trip to London commented on the hospitality and friendly people we met and spoke with about
Oldsmobiles.
The quality of the 1970 through 1972 Oldsmobile F-85's, Cutlass's and especially 442's and the
W-Machines were BETTER than the ones that were at the Oldsmobile Homecoming
2001, in Lansing. We also spoke of the beauty of Canada, and Fanshawe Park in
particular... an excellent venue for a car show of Oldsmobiles.
I promise that next year, in adequate time, I will have more members of the
Detroit Street Rockets in attendance for the Canadian Nationals!
See you next year for the Oldsmobile Club of Canada Nationals 2002.
Hope to see you and your club members in Norwalk, Ohio August 4th and 5th for the Dick Miller All Oldsmobile Powered Open 2 weeks from now!
Respectfully,
Benjamin Virga

The "Photo
Gallery" will have a complete directory of all the participating
cars... but we need your help! Check it out! We have
dozens of photos, but we need to know more information about them! If
you know who the owners are, background info of the photo, or you have a
story to submit about your Olds, please contact
Keith Moore.
